“Add two sockets” is not a complete furniture instruction. The desk, electrical module and building connection may be supplied by different parties. Identify their interfaces before a cutout is made or a quotation is accepted.
Identify the exact module and intended market
UL Solutions distinguishes furniture power distribution units from other power-strip categories and describes UL 962A as the U.S. basic standard for that category. That distinction is a reason to obtain the actual model and intended-use documentation, not to assume every strip may be permanently attached to furniture.

Release furniture dimensions only against the selected module
The bamboo office workstation provides a furniture design reference with a desktop, storage and metal frame. Its catalog photo does not confirm an integrated electrical system. Any module provision must be separately agreed.
Use the module manufacturer’s current mounting instructions to coordinate cutout geometry, mounting thickness, service access and required clearances. Record the instruction revision and who approved the interface drawing. Do not allow an installer to improvise a cutout from a similar unit after the finished desk arrives.
Give each handover one owner
The furniture supplier may only prepare an agreed opening while a separate specialist supplies and installs the module. Another project may buy a complete specified assembly. Write which arrangement is being quoted, including inspection, cable provision, site connection and replacement access.
An ordinary cable-management discussion does not settle electrical suitability. Keep routing, electrical installation and commissioning as named responsibilities. Qualified personnel should complete work requiring electrical expertise; the furniture order should not turn a decorative drawing into wiring instructions.
Plan replacement without promising interchangeability
Retain the exact module information with the furniture schedule. A later device may have a similar face but a different cutout, mounting depth or connection. Require review before substitution rather than promising that any standard module will fit.
Before acceptance, reconcile the installed unit with the approved model and the specialist’s completion records. No particular Green Bamboo Space desk or pictured module is claimed here to carry an electrical certification. The enquiry should establish what is available and what remains separately specified.
