A table layout can work with a dividing wall closed and with it fully stored, yet block the wall halfway through the changeover. Ask for the partition’s operating sequence before fixing the furniture positions in a divisible room.

Obtain the installed partition arrangement
Request the approved partition drawing, operating instructions and storage configuration from its supplier. Different arrangements need different movement and parking areas. Hufcor’s 600 Series information distinguishes single panels, paired panels and continuously hinged systems, and lists pocket doors for panel storage. That variety is a reason to use the actual project documents, not a generic sketch.
The partition is specialist building equipment. A furniture layout does not confirm its support, acoustic performance, safety controls or installation.
Check the intermediate positions
Have the authorised operator identify the first panel movement, any turning or transfer position, access to operating points and the final parking arrangement. Show the pocket door, if present, in its working position rather than only as a line on the closed elevation.
Overlay those areas on both furniture layouts. Identify a specific temporary home for every item that must move. “Push the tables aside” is incomplete if the only available edge is also needed for panel storage.
| Stage | Partition information | Furniture decision |
|---|---|---|
| Start opening | Operator and first panel position | Clear the initial work area |
| Move panels | Travel and turning areas | Assign temporary furniture positions |
| Store panels | Pocket opening and parked footprint | Keep pocket access usable |
| Reopen the room | Approved final layout | Return each item without blocking stored panels |
Choose furniture without assuming mobility features
The round bamboo pedestal table has a broad circular top and a slatted central base. That form should appear at its full approved footprint in the changeover drawing. It does not establish that the table rolls, folds or can be moved by one operator.
If frequent changeovers require a moving method or storage position, include those requirements in the review before selecting the final table. Keep any specialist handling equipment outside the quoted furniture scope unless expressly agreed.
Issue a changeover plan with the room layout
Record the two end layouts and the sequence between them. Before staff use the arrangement, have the responsible partition party confirm that the furniture does not conflict with its instructions. An attractive fully opened-room rendering is not that confirmation.
Send the partition drawing, confirmed exclusion areas and furniture transfer positions with a divisible-room furniture enquiry. The bamboo furniture divider guide is for a separate product category; a loose screen should not be specified as an equivalent building partition.
