Retail Display Furniture: Where Will the Price Card Go?

Plan price cards and changeable signs on retail display furniture. Check reading direction, merchandise access and attachment without assuming supplied sign fittings.

A display island can be carefully sized around merchandise and still leave its price card balancing against a product. If the sign moves every time someone picks that product up, the presentation has an unresolved furniture interface.

Place the actual card or sign holder on the fixture proposal before freezing the top, tier and edge details. The sign is a working accessory, not just decoration in the opening-day image.

Give each sign a specific job

Separate an individual product price, a group description and a temporary promotion. They may have different locations and replacement routines. State the actual format, language and artwork supplied by the retailer; do not infer a readable text size from a rendered view.

Mark the intended approach to the island. A card facing one direction may not serve a product offered from the opposite side. Review legibility with the real artwork in the actual viewing conditions, rather than promising a result from the holder's dimensions alone.

Keep the sign outside the retrieval path

The Curved Retail Display Island and Oval Display Island provide tiered design directions. Put the nominated merchandise, trays and signs on the same proposal.

Trace how a customer lifts a product and how staff replace it. Check whether a card obscures an item, catches a sleeve or competes with the hand space at a tier. Review the nearly empty display too: a holder should not depend on remaining stock to keep it in the intended position.

A loose holder, slot, bracket or adhesive attachment is a proposal for review, not a standard supplied feature. Ask whether the chosen arrangement affects the surface, edge construction or cleaning. Do not drill or stick a fitting onto the finished island without approval.

Keep permanent branding separate

A price holder is not the same thing as a permanent logo plaque. Product 373 lists branding options for project review, but does not establish an approved changeable-sign system. Identify which furniture fittings, cards and artwork come from which party.

Use the retail merchandise plan for stock and tier allocation, then attach this sign overlay as a distinct review. Send a retail fixture and signage brief with the floor plan, product examples and holder reference. Final fittings and any change to the bamboo fixture require explicit confirmation.
