A quotation for ten furniture sets and a quotation for ten pieces can describe very different orders. Before comparing unit prices, agree what the quoted unit contains. This becomes especially important when the buyer wants complete lounge settings plus a few additional chairs.

Write down the composition of one set
The Bamboo Cane Conversation Set is presented as two lounge chairs and one round pedestal table. Use that published composition as a starting reference, then identify the specific chair and table versions proposed for the project.
A room image may include accessories or other nearby furniture. Those objects are not added to the supply merely because they appear in the scene. The quotation should name the included furniture and identify any separately requested pieces.
Keep the buying unit and physical count side by side
Here is a hypothetical quantity check, not a minimum order or a quoted offer: ten sets containing two chairs and one table require twenty chairs and ten tables. If the buyer also requests two spare chairs, list those two separately. The proposed total becomes twenty-two chairs and ten tables, while the number of complete settings remains ten.
| Order line | Buying quantity | Physical furniture count |
|---|---|---|
| Complete conversation setting | 10 sets | 20 chairs and 10 tables |
| Additional matching chairs | 2 pieces | 2 chairs, subject to separate-piece supply confirmation |
| Combined proposed requirement | 10 sets plus 2 chairs | 22 chairs and 10 tables |
| Packages | Supplier to confirm | Not calculated from either the set count or piece count |
Ask whether the supplier can quote the additional chairs separately. A published set does not establish that every component can be purchased individually, on the same terms or with the same delivery timing.
Do not combine different set versions under one total
If some settings have another table size, finish or upholstery, identify the resulting versions before issuing quantities. Retain the relationship between each chair version and its companion table. An aggregate chair count is useful for checking totals, but it must not erase those pairings.
When quotations use different units, ask for clarification rather than silently converting the supplier’s offer. A per-set figure may include a different scope from a sum of individually quoted components. Keep the original unit visible in the comparison.
Use the same identities at dispatch and receipt
The room furniture schedule allocates the agreed settings to locations. The receiving guide then connects complete furniture to its actual packages. Neither a set count nor a chair count tells the receiver how many cartons should arrive.
For a conversation-set quotation, provide the selected reference, complete-set quantity, additional-piece quantities and any version changes. Ask the supplier to confirm composition, quote unit and component availability before comparing the final totals.
