Solar Architecture & Custom Bamboo Interior
A forward-looking pavilion where renewable-energy architecture meets warm engineered bamboo furniture, creating a distinctive place for gathering, presentation and community exchange.
DESHENG SOLAR PAVILION
Desheng Solar Pavilion combines an expressive architectural shell with renewable-energy features and a calm, natural interior. Inside, custom bamboo tables, seating, wall cabinetry and screening elements introduce warmth and human scale, balancing the pavilion’s high-tech exterior with a welcoming environment for meetings, presentations and shared activities.
The pavilion needed an interior language that could soften the technical character of the solar architecture while supporting everyday use. Furniture had to be durable, visually lightweight and coordinated with the curved architectural geometry, open circulation and presentation functions of the space.
We introduced a coordinated bamboo furniture package using clean profiles, warm natural finishes and precise joinery. Long communal tables, refined seating, built-in cabinetry and open lattice screens establish a calm, tactile contrast to the pavilion’s steel structure, glazing and energy systems.
DESIGN LANGUAGE
Three design ideas connect the pavilion’s architectural identity with its custom bamboo interior.
The sculptural roof structure and visible renewable-energy systems establish a strong contemporary identity for the pavilion.
Natural bamboo surfaces, furniture and storage bring warmth to the white curved interior and create a relaxed, human-centered atmosphere.
Long shared tables and lightweight seating support meetings, presentations and informal group activities without overcrowding the space.

MATERIAL FOCUS
Engineered bamboo gives the interior a consistent grain, warm tactile quality and the dimensional stability required for custom tables, chairs, cabinets and screens. Controlled machining and coordinated finishes help each component read as part of one integrated project package.
